Come May 10 to 12, the highly anticipated ‘Love & Light Festival’ is back for its second year after a successful run in its 2018 inaugural. Organised by Laughing Soul, Love & Light Festival 2019 is set to bring an even more comprehensive line-up of “light-workers’, exhibitors and retailers to provide guidance and support for festival-goers on a journey of self-discovery of the mind, body and soul. This year, the first run is taking place on 10 to 12 May 2019 at the Melati Room (Level 4), Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, 11am to 8pm daily. Admission to the festival is free.

First-time participants of Love & Light Festival this year include renowned stone master from Britain who has been practising since he was 14 years old, Graham Cox who will share on the various types and benefits of crystals; Justin Saw and Eugene Leong who will read your oracle cards and aura to bring clarity of the chakra one possesses.

Back for a second year are established light workers, including Jasmine Miller, who uses insights and visions to  take you on a personal spiritual discovery journey; be captivated by Australian artist Angela Millar whose art pieces are created to bring serenity to your soul; the trio from YIS of Light – Tung Ya Ning, Iris Leng and Samuel Soon will guide you on the spiritual path to discover your Divine Self. Raine of Light’s Lorraine Lowhas returned to channel higher guidance, clarity and healing to those in need, as well as, Warrior of Light’s Lynn Loke who identifies as a clairvoyant light warrior who is a healer and also a certified body therapist. All of their services are aimed at healing the mind, cleansing the soul and soothing the emotions.

For parents who are constantly thinking of activities to engage their children and hence would be able to tap on the practice of meditation to instill silent moments which children of today seemed to be lacking. Meditation would help the child to understand they can train their mind to focus and allow their mind to rest as opposed to activities which stimulate their mind constantly, rendering them without the opportunity to simply, rest.  There are a number of benefits which meditation could bring to both child and parents.

Some of the practitioners participating in Love & Light Festival 2019 are well-versed in using sound therapy to heal participants, as well as, leading the visitors in meditating individually or as a group in achieving the tranquility in their mind. Meditation and sound therapy (or healing) have been lauded to be beneficial in helping children with autism in seeking the balance and peace in their mind so as to function day to day, and also calming the children with ADHD when stimuli in the environment get overwhelming for them. Families and growing number of schools from the other side of our world have embarked in introducing meditation as part of a daily routine as the activity helps to bond the families together, helping them to reduce stress and anxiety in this fast-paced society. Come and participate in Love & Light Festival 2019 on 10-12 May!
