Resorts World Sentosa’s Singapore Oceanarium has just launched its newest guided experience, Ocean in Focus: Apex Predators, taking visitors into the extraordinary world of sharks and other ocean predators. In conjunction with World Shark Awareness Day (14 July), the 60-minute programme will explore how some of the ocean’s top predators have evolved over time, shed light on their vital role in the marine ecosystem and highlight the care and conservation efforts that support these animals.
Programme highlights include:
- Exclusive access to shark care areas: Gain a behind-the-scenes perspective of shark feeding operations, and access the Shark Encounter support area to gain first-hand insights into the expertise and dedication that goes into managing these majestic animals
- Shark feeding session: Witness how animal care specialists conduct their feeding sessions through methods such as broadcast or target feeding
- Specimen showcase: Examine real shark specimens up close, including its jaws and teeth, and examine the chainmail safety equipment their animal care specialists don during feeding operations

- Sessions are conducted twice a day in English at 9.30am and 1.30pm. Do note that only the 1.30pm session will be available on Wednesdays.
- Sessions are priced at S$39 per participant, excluding admission to Singapore Oceanarium and accommodates up to 12 participants per session.
- Participants will receive an immersive programmes lanyard, programme credential, shark species identification postcard and an exclusive Dunkleosteus plush keychain as part of the experience.
