As Singapore marks another milestone year, the celebrations for SG60 are in full swing, and it’s time to rediscover all the little things that make Singapore, Singapore. From now until 31 August 2025, Far East Malls is celebrating our island home with good eats, great shopping and exclusive merchandise designed by local artist Yeni Lim (@yenidraws) that pays tribute to everyday moments that connect us.
A self-taught illustrator and stay-at-home mom, Yeni returned to Singapore in 2018, after a decade abroad, inspired to give back to the place she calls home. Drawing from Singapore’s vibrant heritage, her art evokes a sense of nostalgia, weaving in elements that echo fond and cherished childhood memories that celebrate the everyday beauty we witness in our Garden City.
This collaboration with Far East Malls is no exception as her delightful hand-drawn illustrations will come to life across Far East Malls around Singapore, and exclusive merchandise, paying tribute to 60 years of Singaporean spirit. With illustrations of beloved hawker favourites from Laksa, Kaya Toast and Nasi Lemak, to other local icons such as the old-school orange pay phone and our nation’s beloved otters, her artwork invites shoppers to relive the sights, tastes and charm of home.
Adding a heartwarming touch to this nostalgic celebration is a nod to the pet-friendly One Holland Village by Far East Malls – featuring furry companions like a cat gleefully rolling over a plate of traditional sweet pastries and an adorable dog sporting a party hat. Together, these delightful moments embrace joy and a spirit of celebration!
