Internationally acclaimed pianist, Haiou Zhang will be performing in Singapore on 14 May 2022 for his sold-out piano solo recital since the pandemic struck. Presented by Bechstein Music World, Haiou Zhang will hold a one-night concert at the Singapore Conference Hall.
As part of his World Concert Tour, Zhang will be performing a one-night concert where he will not only perform the two captivating compositions in Beethoven 32 piano sonatas, but also Bachs two transcriptions of the most beautiful melodies – a path into a realm of serenity. Adding on to the night’s highlights, Haiou Zhang will inaugurate the new grand piano, C. Bechstein D282 concert grand, the king of all C. Bechstein grand pianos. “I always need an extremely wide range – colorings, emotions and possibilities and the D282 goes over my expectations” says Haiou Zhang, noting the difficulty to find the one instrument that “has a little bit more to tell on stage”.
With a unique gift of artistic and communicative skill, Haiou Zhang is also an influential ambassador for the arts that builds the bridges between Eastern and Western culture. Zhang also co-founded the International Music Festival, Buxtehude, Altes Land, Hamburg which has become the first leading international classical music festival to be named after a Chinese pianist.
Presented by Bechstein Music World, the recital is dedicated to the Singapore community who have braved through the ups and downs during the pandemic with specially designed programs which aim to cleanse the souls and bring about life sublimation after immersing in the recital. This recital can be enjoyed by anyone with or without music background.
The 38-year-old pianist Haiou Zhang has performed tens of thousands of recitals internationally – Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherland, Austria, Estonia, Russia, America, Canada, China and many more.
Media was invited to an exclusive media preview where Haiou Zhang performed 1-2 passage of the Yellow River Piano Concerto on the new Bechstein Concert grand piano specially picked out by him. This is the first ever performance preview to be held in Singapore by Haiou Zhang. It is an amazing experience to be able to see him perform and we hope he will be able to come to Singapore to perform often so that more audience can enjoy his music.
