MINSUIZEN RAKU Omakase Teppanyaki, known as one of the top omakase teppanyaki brands in Taiwan and Asia, has opened its first Southeast Asian outlet in Singapore. Located on the 3rd floor of Frasers Tower in the CBD, the Singapore branch continues the brand’s signature blend of refined Japanese cuisine, premium ingredients, and warm, celebratory hospitality.
Backed by over 8,000 global reviews and an impressive average rating of 4.8 stars, MINSUIZEN RAKU is part of the world’s largest directly operated omakase teppanyaki chain. It is celebrated for offering excellent value while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship, making it a standout choice for those seeking a refined yet welcoming omakase experience.
A Culinary Philosophy Rooted in Simplicity and Seasonality
At MINSUIZEN RAKU, the focus is clear: to highlight the natural flavours of premium seasonal ingredients using the most minimal seasoning and traditional Japanese cooking techniques. Each dish that makes it to the table has undergone three months of rigorous development and refinement, with new items or thoughtful updates added every two months.
This continuous cycle of testing and improvement ensures that the omakase experience remains fresh, dynamic, thoughtful and appealing to both first-time guests and returning diners.
Ambience: Tranquil, Minimalist and Immersive
The restaurant’s interior combines modern Japanese minimalism with soothing elements of nature. Guests are welcomed by a serene garden courtyard and illuminated fountain, setting the stage for an elegant and relaxed meal.

Inside, the open teppan counter allows diners to witness the skill and finesse of the chefs up close. Warm lighting and delicate Japanese tableware add to the sensory appeal, making every moment from plating to performance part of the dining experience.
Signature 12-Course Omakase Menus
We embarked on a delightful culinary journey with the Joyous Course (S$88++) and the Premium Course (S$138++), each consisting of 12 individually plated dishes. Both menus offer well-balanced flavours, exquisite textures, and impressive attention to detail.
Grilled Hokkaido scallop topped with mala sauce and salmon roe
Joyous Course (S$88++):
- A trio of starters:
- 6-hour simmered lala soup
- Truffle angel hair pasta with sakura shrimp and tobiko
- Chawanmushi with truffle paste and Japanese chilli oil
- Seafood highlights:
- Grilled Hokkaido scallop topped with mala sauce and salmon roe
- Black tiger prawns with their crisp legs intact, served with a rich prawn head butter sauce
- Seasonal fresh fish, and a light, savoury soup
- Main dish: Boneless chicken drumstick, juicy and perfectly grilled
Premium Course (S$138++):
- Includes all items from the Joyous Course
- Additional soup: Japan miso soup
- Choice of main:
- We selected the A5 Japanese Wagyu, seared to perfection and flambéed in front of us
- Served with red wine sauce and roasted garlic cloves, the wagyu was rich, buttery, and melt-in-the-mouth
- Guests preferring a leaner flavour can opt for A4 Wagyu, which has less marbling and a meatier profile
- Also includes a Beef Slider between grilled brioche buns with a house-made parmesan crisp, cooked à la minute, one of the most memorable bites of the night
A Lobster Dish Worth Savouring

Among the standout creations on MINSUIZEN RAKU’s evolving omakase menu is their indulgent Trio of Southeast Asian Live Lobster, a visual and culinary showpiece. Lovingly prepared on the teppan grill, the lobster is gently seared to preserve its delicate sweetness, often enhanced with seasonal elements. This luxurious course adds a dramatic flourish to the dining journey, making it a favourite among guests celebrating special occasions.
Celebration-Ready Experience
What sets MINSUIZEN RAKU apart is its thoughtful approach to making special occasions feel truly special. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or an intimate gathering, the restaurant offers subtle touches that enhance the experience.
Designed for special occasions, the restaurant continues its celebratory spirit from its soft-opening (Dec 12, 2024–Jan 12, 2025), during which guests received a complimentary Honey Lemon Sparkling Drink, and birthday diners were gifted a signature dessert. That same tradition is ongoing: book during your birthday month to enjoy a chef-crafted celebratory dessert.
One of Asia’s Most Respected Teppanyaki Brands
MINSUIZEN RAKU’s Singapore debut builds on a foundation of regional success:
- Repeatedly named among Taiwan’s Top 10 High-Value Fine-Dining Teppanyaki Restaurants
- Globally recognised with 8,000+ five-star reviews
- Currently expanding to South Korea, the United States, Canada, and China
Singapore’s outlet is the brand’s first step into Southeast Asia, bringing the same precision, value, and quality that made it a favourite across Taiwan and Japan.
