This June school holidays, families can step away from screens and step into the wild as Amara Sanctuary Sentosa partners with outdoor education specialists Into The Wild to launch the first Sentosa Survival Camp & Retreat, a one-of-a-kind family getaway that reimagines what a resort stay can look and feel like.
Set against the hotel’s beautifully restored colonial-era barracks and lush grounds, this two-day immersive survival camp invites young adventurers aged four to twelve to discover the thrill of the outdoors while building confidence, resilience and teamwork through hands-on exploration in a safe and guided environment.
The collaboration speaks to a shared belief that the most meaningful family holidays are rooted in genuine experience. As more families seek purposeful getaways, the Sentosa Survival Camp Staycation offers the chance to slow down, reconnect and rediscover the joy of outdoor play. By combining a resort stay with guided outdoor activities, the programme hopes to foster confidence, curiosity and resilience in young explorers.
“Amara Sanctuary Sentosa has always been a place where history, nature and hospitality come together in an unexpected way,” said Anthony Lim, General Manager of Amara Sanctuary Sentosa. “Our partnership with Into The Wild reflects our ongoing commitment to curating thoughtful, experience-led programmes that evolve with our guests’ interests, offering fresh and immersive ways to discover the resort beyond a bed-and-breakfast stay”.
“Through my work in disaster response and wilderness medicine, I’ve seen how powerful it is when people know how to stay calm, solve problems and care for others in difficult situations,” said Zhang Tingjun, Co-Founder of Into The Wild. “That’s the spirit behind Into The Wild, teaching kids survival skills, first aid and resilience through real challenges. Our partnership with Amara Sanctuary Sentosa allows us to bring these lessons to life in a truly unique environment.”
“As an athlete, I learned that confidence and teamwork are built by stepping outside your comfort zone,” added Joscelin Yeo, Co-Founder of Into The Wild. “That’s what we want children to take on challenges together, learning new skills, and discovering they are capable of far more than they imagined. Sentosa gives us an incredible setting for that journey.”
Available for booking from 23 March 2026, the programme takes place from 25 to 26 June 2026 and will transform the historic grounds of the hotel into a living outdoor classroom. Led by trained facilitators, this experience is more than a history lesson, it is a confidence-building journey that challenges kids to sharpen their awareness and resilience that extends beyond the weekend.
The Survival Camp takes place across two sessions: an evening camp from 5:30PM to 8:30PM on 25 June, followed by a morning session from 9:00AM to 11:30AM on 26 June. The package is priced from $495++ for two adults and one child and includes the following:
