Singapore’s waterfront is glowing once again as i Light Singapore 2026 returns from 5 to 28 June 2026, transforming Marina Bay and Raffles Place into a vibrant open-air gallery of light, art and creativity.

Organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and presented by UOB, Asia’s leading light festival features 14 light art installations by 17 artists from Singapore and around the world. Built around the theme of “Movement”, this year’s edition invites visitors to explore how every gesture, action and interaction can spark change and inspire new ways of thinking.
Extending across Marina Bay and its satellite site at Raffles Place, the festival presents a diverse line-up of interactive and immersive artworks that encourage visitors to become part of the experience.

One of the key installations is WAVE by Japanese artist Masamichi Shimada at The Promontory. Activated by visitors tapping silver sticks on the ground, the artwork generates ripples of light and sound inspired by raindrops striking water, encouraging reflection on how small actions can create far-reaching effects.

At Mist Walk, visitors can experience Where the Wildflowers Grow by Singapore artist-designer collective Kester Wong and Tan Shao Qi. Created using reclaimed metal offcuts and recycled carpet, the installation features illuminated wildflowers that respond to touch, swaying gently as they glow and highlighting the beauty of nature within urban spaces.
Along the Marina Bay Lower Boardwalk, Let’s Fish the Sun! by China artist Wentao Wang transforms the natural cycle of sunset into an interactive experience. Visitors can turn a fishing rod winch to raise a glowing orb resembling the sun, watching its colours shift from deep crimson to warm white as it ascends.
Meanwhile, French artist Cyril Lancelin presents Cube Graphics at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza. The monumental inflatable structure combines optical illusions, geometric forms and vibrant colours, creating an immersive environment where perspectives constantly change as visitors move through the artwork.

Infinite Graffiti by Graffiti+ (Courtesy of i Light Singapore 2026)
At the entrance of Marina Bay Link Mall, Infinite Graffiti by Canadian creative collective Graffiti+ invites visitors to create digital graffiti using sensor-activated spray cans. Presented in collaboration with Families for Life, the installation transforms a five-metre-long digital canvas into a shared artwork shaped by thousands of individual contributions throughout the festival.
Visitors can also interact with Silent Moments by Slovakian creative collective BN label, located in front of The Promontory. Featuring illuminated silhouettes engaged in everyday activities, the installation celebrates ordinary moments while encouraging visitors to slow down, connect and reflect amid the bustling city environment.
Over at Raffles Place Park, Arch Flower by Cyril Lancelin (France) brings colour and movement to the city centre through a large-scale installation inspired by blooming flowers. Visitors are invited to walk through its glowing arches and experience how light, colour and space converge within the artwork.
This year also marks the launch of i Light Future, a new mentorship initiative presented by DesignSingapore Council to nurture emerging talent in light, design and technology. The inaugural programme showcases two installations by local creatives.

At Mist Walk, Market Cycles by Tan Mei Yee and Ng Choon Wee (Singapore) transforms everyday wet market plastic crates into a luminous architectural installation, encouraging visitors to reconsider the beauty and value of ordinary objects. Along Marina Boulevard, Steps by Nawal Bte Azhar (Singapore) reimagines staircases as illuminated structures that symbolise Singapore’s progress through resilience, growth and collective effort.
Beyond the light installations, visitors can also enjoy GastroBeats 2026 at Bayfront Event Space. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the festival village features up to 40 food vendors, live music performances, family-friendly activities, arcade games and pickleball experiences in partnership with the EPIC World Championship. An Elevated Dining Zone also offers artisanal culinary experiences against the backdrop of Singapore’s skyline.
Coinciding with the June school holidays, i Light Singapore 2026 offers visitors of all ages an opportunity to experience art, creativity and community through a series of interactive installations and programmes set against the iconic Marina Bay waterfront.
Whether you are visiting with family, friends or exploring the city after sunset, the festival offers a unique way to discover Singapore through light, design and shared experiences.
