Christmas is coming soon! Thinking of doing something special and fun for the whole family? This Christmas season, the popular annual Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop conducted by Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé Potus of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is back by popular demand!
The workshop is conducted from 3 to 18 December on every Saturday and Sunday during this period. Parents and children can look forward to explore their culinary creativity and craft their own confectionary masterpiece by personalising gingerbread houses with frosting, cookies and candy.
Children and even parents are excited to see the wide spread of sweets like jellies & gums, M&M, marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles, christmas ornaments and cookies beautifully decorated and laid out on the table.
We are in Christmas mood already! Shangri-La Hotel has prepared its aprons, reindeer antler headbands and Christmas hats for the kids to put on which you can bring home after the workshop.
Santa Claus, Snowman, Christmas Trees, all kinds of exquisite sweets and ornaments are available for you to use and exercise your creativity to create and decorate your very own personalised Gingerbread House.
Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop is conducted by Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé Potus. The boys are so excited to see the talented and friendly Chef Hervé Potus. They enjoyed talking and learning from him and his team how to decorate their Gingerbread House.
Kids have a good and enjoyable time decorating their gingerbread house under the guidance of Chef and his friendly pastry team.
They learnt how to assemble the gingerbread house pieces properly to set up the house by using icing to hold the pieces together. Icing is also used to stick the decorations on the house. Finally, sprinkle some white sanding sugar on top and around the Gingerbread House to create sparkly snow.
It is so fun! We enjoy making our own personalised Gingerbread House. After we have completed decorating our gingerbread house. It will be nicely packed up by the friendly pastry staff for us to bring home our masterpieces.
The two-hour workshop includes festive light refreshments, and each child may also bring home their completed gingerbread house and a mini chef’s toque and apron as a festive memento. The Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop is conducted at The Line Shop on 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 December 2016 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, and priced at $98nett per child (aged three to 12 years of age), accompanied by up to two adults.
