Christmas Wonderland Celebrates 10th Edition with Spectacular Lights, Rides, and Festivities at Gardens by the Bay

As the countdown to the most magical time of the year begins, Singapore’s grandest yuletide fair, Christmas Wonderland, returns to Gardens by the Bay from December 1, 2023, to January 1, 2024. This year, presented by Trip.com, the 10th edition promises a jubilant celebration with a supersized fairground, mesmerising light displays, new carnival rides, and an array of festive activities.

Enchanting Expansion: A Bigger and Better Fairground

Covering over 27,000 square metres, the fairground has expanded to three enchanting zones: Supertree Grove, Frosty’s Fairground at The Meadow, and Gingerbread Grove. Each zone offers a unique experience, making Christmas Wonderland a must-visit for families and friends seeking holiday joy.

Dazzling Lights Illuminate the Night

Step into a world of wonder with 15 stunning light displays adorning the Supertree Grove. The centerpiece, the Spalliera, inspired by Mesola Castle in north Italy’s province of Ferrara, stands at a majestic 20 metres, lit by a mesmerising 103,000 bulbs. Experience the magic of ‘snow’ in the tropics against the enchanting backdrop of the Spalliera during the popular Blizzard Time. The Garden Rhapsody light and sound show will also charm visitors with the lights on the surrounding Supertrees ‘dancing’ to Christmas classics.

Pirates and Lights: A Whimsical Voyage

Adding to the magic is the Holly Roger ship, a whimsical 24-metre-long light display with a crew of merry pirate elves. With approximately 127,000 bulbs illuminating the ship, it’s a sight to behold. The Walk of Lights, a 65-metre-long tunnel adorned with 75,000 programmable LED lights, promises to be the longest and most captivating yet. More new captivating light displays can be found at Merry Lane presented by Trip.com, with installations such as giant snowflakes and Santa’s boot that will make quirky backdrops for your outfit of the day (OOTD).

Carnival Thrills and Nostalgic Rides

Embark on the Christmas Train to Frosty’s Fairground at The Meadow, where carnival games like Ring Toss, Fishy Fishy, and Blockbuster await. Classic amusement rides by Uncle Ringo, including Bumper Cars, Carousel, Flying Dumbo, and Hot Air Balloon, will take visitors on a nostalgic journey. LumiLand, an illuminated playground with enchanting seesaws, swings, and LED fixtures, is a haven for the little ones.

Gingerbread Grove: A Sweet Sensory Delight

The newly created Gingerbread Grove situated between Supertree Grove and Frosty’s Fairground is a visual and culinary feast. A vibrantly lit Gingerbread House, set on a field of illuminated candy canes, creates a whimsical atmosphere. Indulge your sweet tooth at the dessert stalls that complete this sugary-themed zone.

This year, Christmas Wonderland introduces a gastronomic delight with twice the number of food outlets, spoiling visitors for choice with an unprecedented variety of treats. Indulge in festive fare curated from some of Singapore’s popular food and beverage establishments, including Burger & Lobster, Kebabs Faktory, and Sofnade. Quench your thirst at the whimsical Christmas cracker-themed bar by Hendrick’s Gin and the Brewerkz craft beer bar, featuring its festive Gingerbread Amber Lager.

Dine and Delight: Elfresco and Mistletoe Alley

Immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit at Elfresco, where diners can enjoy their meals accompanied by lively performances by local artists. And for those looking to check off their Christmas shopping list, Mistletoe Alley offers a wide selection of unique crafts and gift ideas from local entrepreneurs.

As Christmas Wonderland celebrates its 10th edition, the organisers have spared no effort in creating a magical experience that transcends the ordinary. Tickets to Christmas Wonderland are available at christmaswonderland.sg and exclusive ticketing partner Trip.com. Tickets are priced from S$8 for adults and S$6 for children (3 to 12 years old). Separate charges apply for OCBC Skyway, Supertree Observatory, Floral Fantasy and Gardens by the Bay conservatories.

Visitors can choose from four daily sessions starting from 6.30pm, as well as themed nights such as Pets’ Night, where they will be able to soak in the sights and sounds of Christmas Wonderland and enjoy an exclusive programme for their beloved fur kids.
