Thanks to One Farrer Hotel & Spa, Our Parenting World team attended the Festive Media Party at Garden Pavilion to have a first-hand feel of the coming Festive Season’s offerings by the lovely hotel. Christmas comes early this year and we thoroughly enjoyed the festive feel and delicious spread of food. We were also impressed with the 2 Meter Long Black Forest Yule Log, that is the longest yule log we have ever seen!

From 21 November 2016, Christmas season feasting at Escape Restaurant & Lounge, One Farrer Confectionery and Origins of Food begins. Well known for serving up a myriad of local and international cuisine from its interactive kitchen, Escape Restaurant will be offering an inviting spread of succulent Christmas meats, fresh seafood, savoury Asian favourites and seasonal sweet delights. Catch up with friends and family while you enjoy this culinary experience. In the spirit of the season we offer 16 vintage wines by the glass, in addition to our well-stocked wine & spirits cellar.

Festive Treats and Goodies from One Farrer Confectionery

The One Farrer Confectionery entices with a host of homemade and freshly baked artisan breads, pastries, cakes, chocolates, fresh flowers and special seasonal hampers. For Christmas home / office parties, Turkey (prepared in 3 different ways, traditional, salt-encrusted, and Thai), Madeira Glazed Ham, Angus Prime Rib of Beef, and Australian Dorper Lamb Leg, Black Forest Yule Log, Christmas Fruit Pavlova, Gran Couva Crunchy Tart, Christmas Rich Fruit Cake with Dried Longan and Brandy Marinated Fruits, and the Festive Stollen with Almond Filling, Dried Lychees, Wolfberries and Rum Marinated Fruits are available for take away from the Confectionery. Christmas Festive Cooking Classes at Origins of Food

Unique to One Farrer Hotel & Spa are two total lifestyle culinary experiences at the Origins of Food food studio – Farm to Table and Market to Table. The food studio provides the ultimate facility in which to explore the “Origins of Food” through its interactive Cooking Project cooking classes and demonstrations. The Farm to Table programme starts with a visit to the onsite Farm and Orchard (the largest in central Singapore), while the Market to Table programme begins with a shopping excursion to the neighbouring Tekka Market (one of Singapore’s few remaining traditional Asian markets). Back at the food studio, participants learn how to turn the farm and market fresh ingredients, into homemade specialities that taste, look and are good! This Christmas, join our chefs at Origins of Food to learn how to bake Christmas Pudding, Stollen, Cookies and Log Cake, and then surprise friends and loved ones with your very own culinary gifts.

Festive Gift Guide of Curated Shopping

One Farrer’s Food Street will be back on 3 and 4 December 2016. Look out for festive food offerings and carolers to serenade you with Christmas songs and melodies this weekend! A Glittering New Year’s Eve Gala Featuring The Three Degrees

Welcome 2017 in style at our Glittering New Year’s Eve Gala featuring The Three Degrees. Starting from 7.15pm to 2am, a 5-course exquisite dinner including free flow of selected wines will be presented. Flying in direct from the U.S.A., the effervescent trio will be performing their chart topping hits like “When Will I See You Again”, “Dirty Ol’ Man”, and “Woman in Love”. Leading up to The Three Degrees’ finale will be performances by standup comedian Jason Atherton, Singapore born and bred sopranos Lauren and Kira, and Rob Collins with the Stephen Francis Band. This is one countdown party not to be missed!

Lunar New Year Feasts – Escape Restaurant & Lounge

With a spirited and auspicious toss of our One Farrer Signature Yu Sheng at Escape, usher in the Year of the Rooster with a bountiful spread of traditional Lunar New Year dishes – sea cucumber with mushrooms, braised Australian Wagyu beef and tendon with daikon, as well as slow braised pork trotter with black moss and mushroom, and traditional home made Nian Gao. Prosperity and Lunar New Year lunch and dinner spreads will be available from Monday, 2 January 2017 right till Sunday, 5 February 2017.

Lunar New Year Takeaways

At the One Farrer Confectionery, Lunar New Year homemade goodies are available for takeaway, making for great gourmet gifts. Take your pick from the selection of signature items such as: Lucky Muscovado Cashew Nuts, Caramelised Sesame Walnuts, Golden Pineapple Tarts, Dried Lychee Cornflake Cookies, Farm Grown Roselle Flower & Mandarin Orange Velvet Cake, Durian Supreme Crème with Tahitian White Chocolate Mousse and traditional Nian Gao that have been specially created by our culinary team for the Lunar New Year. Many of these in house specialities incorporate ingredients from our on site Farm and Orchard. Located on our Lifestyle Podium are our Grand Ballroom, Function Rooms and Garden Pavilion, offering an ideal venue for your corporate celebrations, year-end and Lunar New Year dinners.
