Usher in the Year of the Rat with Authentic Nanyang Cuisine at Famous Treasure, Capitol Piazza

Famous Treasure is an extension of The Famous Kitchen, a casual restaurant located at Sembawang. We have visited the restaurant at Sembawang several times and are delighted that it has opened a new restaurant in town at Capitol Piazza. This coming Chinese New Year, to celebrate the Year of the Rat, the culinary team at Famous Treasure has prepared celebratory set menus showcasing nostalgic dishes of Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese and Hainanese heritage with influences from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia from 13 January to 8 February 2020.

Prosperity Shun De Yu Sheng 顺德鱼生

Toss to Prosperity and Good Fortune with Prosperity Shun De Yu Sheng, this is a traditional flavour that Famous Treasure is bringing back. This Yu Sheng is different from the conventional ones that we have tried, it is unique where you can use the ingredients to make your own Yu Sheng. The hamachi fish slices is so fresh and sweet. This is available as an à la carte order. 3 days advance notice is required and this dish is available on normal days throughout the year.

Chicken Soup with Morel Mushroom and Peach Gum 羊肚菌桃胶炖鸡汤

This is a delicious, healthy and full of nutritional goodness soup filled with tender chicken meat,  earthy and nutty flavour morel mushroom and peach gum that is rich in collagen. This is available on the CNY à la carte menu at S$68++ for medium and S$138++ for large.

Roasted “Silver Hill” Irish Duck 爱尔兰金牌烧肥鸭

We thoroughly enjoyed this Irish duck dish, the meat is so juicy and succulent. This is a signature dish that is on many of the CNY Set Menus (Success Set B, Happiness Set C and Fortune Set D). This dish is also available on the CNY à la carte menu at S$58++ for half a duck and S$108++ for a whole duck.
