MasterChef Winner Derek Cheong Brings Singapore Flavours to MOIC

Throughout August, Museum of Ice Cream Singapore will collaborate with Derek Cheong’s Berempah Bros and Denzy Gelato to introduce two limited-edition creations under its Scoop of the Month programme.

Guests can choose between:

  • Coconut Gelato with Glutinous Rice
  • Sambal Gelato

Both flavours will be served as ice cream sandwiches at PlaySpace and topped with Berempah Bros’ signature crunch.

The collaboration combines Denzy Gelato’s locally made gelato with the distinctive flavours and culinary perspective of Derek Cheong, winner of MasterChef Singapore Season 2 and co-founder of Berempah Bros.

From creamy coconut and glutinous rice to savoury sambal, the two creations offer a playful take on flavours familiar to Singaporeans.

National Day Activities for Families

On 8 August 2026, families can attend a complimentary storytelling session featuring Me and My Monster from 4pm to 5pm.

Written by Singaporean author Mark Lim and illustrated by Cacticyn, the rhyming picture book introduces children to emotions through imaginative storytelling, followed by a hands-on kids craft activity.

Walk-ins are welcome and no registration is required.
