As families increasingly seek more meaningful and enriching ways to travel, with a growing emphasis on connection, discovery and a deeper sense of place, Capella Singapore invites families to reconnect, explore and create memories together during the upcoming June holidays. Set within its lush, storied grounds on Sentosa Island, the resort unveils its new Island Explorer room package, a newly refreshed family experience designed to bring together heritage, culture and nature through a child’s lens.

The Island Explorer room package is a self-guided journey, encouraging young guests aged five to ten to embark on an island adventure through their own inquisitive lens. Each child will receive their very own Explorer Kit, featuring a guided journal paired with an instant-print camera, offering young explorers an interactive way to document their time at Capella Singapore. Through photographs, sketches and observations, the young explorers are encouraged to create their own collection of “Island Memories”, shaped by personal curiosity, the rhythms of the resort, and the historic stories waiting to be discovered.
Set within Capella Singapore’s heritage-rich estate, once home to the Royal Artillery and now shared with peacocks, hornbills, and rich diversity of native wildlife, Island Explorer invites families to slow down and immerse themselves in the tranquil surroundings of Sentosa island. Some stories are etched into the architecture, while others unfold in fleeting encounters with nature, from the flash of blue peacock feathers to the curve of a Colonial veranda. Each experience unfolds differently, making every stay deeply personal and uniquely its own.
Young explorers who complete their journey will receive a commemorative badge and certificate, a keepsake marking their time on the island. The instant-print camera and journal, included as part of the package, are theirs to take home, serving as lasting reminders of a summer shaped by discovery.
Designed to complement the resort’s existing Little Stars programme, Island Explorer builds on Capella Singapore’s commitment to thoughtful family experiences. Developed in response to evolving guest preferences, Little Stars offers a series of enriching, immersive, and culturally grounded activities designed to encourage discovery through play and participation. Island Explorer, on the other hand, complements with a more independent and reflective journey, encouraging exploration at one’s own pace while nurturing creativity and storytelling.
“At Capella Singapore, we are always seeking meaningful ways to bring families closer together through shared experiences. We believe a stay should offer more than just time away, it should create opportunities to connect more deeply with both the surroundings and one another. With the newly launched Island Explorer room package, families are invited to experience the island through moments that feel both enriching and effortless, where children can engage with culture and nature in ways that are imaginative, unstructured, and led entirely by their own innate curiosity,” said Johanna Dlugosch, Hotel Manager, Capella Singapore.
The Island Explorer room package will be available from 1 June, 2026, across all room categories and includes daily breakfast for two adults and two children, late check-out until 2.00 PM, and an Explorer Kit to take home. In addition, families will also enjoy complimentary access to children-friendly family resort experiences under the Little Stars programme, creating even more opportunities for shared experiences throughout their stay.
Available to all in-house guests, the Little Stars programme features a range of complimentary activities designed to spark imagination and creativity. Experiences include Peranakan tile painting, ‘Shrinky Dink’ charm making, scavenger hunts across the resort, and even hands-on boba making workshops. Families can also explore the resort’s heritage through guided tours of its historic grounds and art collection, while older children can take part in experiences such as a dim sum masterclass hosted at Cassia for a deeper introduction to culinary craft. Together, these experiences enrich each stay, creating moments of connection for guests of all ages.
