Christmas is coming to Orchard Road, and Singapore’s iconic shopping street is getting ready for a festive season filled with dazzling lights, carnival games, immersive attractions and exciting Christmas celebrations.
Returning from 17 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, Christmas on A Great Street (COAGS) will transform Orchard Road into a festive destination with its signature Christmas Light-Up, the Great Christmas Village, the Great Christmas Eve Street Party and a series of new experiences for visitors.
Organised by the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA), this year’s celebrations carry the theme Season of Golden Joy, bringing together festive decorations, entertainment, shopping, dining and exclusive tourist rewards.
From a towering Marvel-themed Christmas tree and Singapore’s first LEGO Santa’s Toy Factory to a giant Christmas Merli at Shaw House, there will be plenty to explore along Orchard Road this holiday season.
A Golden Christmas Lights Up Orchard Road
The Christmas Light-Up, now in its 43rd year, will illuminate a 3.1km stretch of Orchard Road from Tanglin Road to Dhoby Ghaut.
The official Christmas on A Great Street Community Chest Light-Up Ceremony will take place on 17 November 2026 from 7pm onwards at Shaw House Urban Plaza. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will officiate the ceremony, which is co-organised by ORBA and Community Chest.
This year’s decorations will feature vine-inspired designs incorporating Christmas trees and mistletoe motifs in three shades of gold. The golden displays will bring a festive glow to the shopping belt, creating opportunities for visitors to enjoy evening strolls and capture Christmas photographs.
Beyond the celebrations, the event will highlight the spirit of giving through the Stories of Hope exhibition, which will showcase inspiring journeys of children and youths supported by Community Chest-funded programmes. Funds raised will support more than 300 critical programmes.
Hitachi returns as the main sponsor of the Christmas Light-Up, marking its 36th year of supporting the tradition. Mastercard also returns as the Official Card of COAGS, continuing its partnership with ORBA.

One of the main highlights of COAGS 2026 is the Great Christmas Village by Kiztopia, which will occupy two locations along Orchard Road: Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza and Shaw House Urban Plaza.
The expanded carnival will feature a total of 50 carnival game booths, children’s rides and game stations across both locations, 20 more than in 2025.
