Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of Les Misérables has arrived in Singapore! The previous time Les Misérables was shown in Singapore was 20 years ago! It will be showing at the Esplanade Theatre in May for a strictly limited season.
The story of Les Misérables is set against the backdrop of 19th century revolutionary France, Les Misérables is an unforgettable much loved blockbuster musical which has been seen by over 70 million people worldwide in 44 countries and in 22 languages. It is a story of heartbreak, passion and the resilience of the human spirit that has become one of the world’s most popular musicals.
Audience will enjoy the beloved songs from Les Misérables featuring ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’, ‘Bring Him Home’ and ‘One Day More’, this breathtaking new production has been completely reimagined with glorious new sets and staging.

It is an good opportunity to catch this amazing production without having to travel to other countries to watch. We were blown away by the beautiful set and costumes especially the memorable songs and the breathtaking battle scenes.

The songs have touched our hearts. Many of the audience were heard humming and singing the songs and even after the show, the songs are still reliving in our minds.
The performances by the actors and actress were engaging and with such strong emotion that will draw you into the characters that they portrayed especially award winning Simon Gleeson who played the iconic role of Jean Valjean. Look out for his outstanding performance and he has recently won the prestigious Australian Helpmann Award for his role. You will be captivated with his powerful vocals and performances. Overall, it is a must-see production that is not to be missed!
