Fans of Japanese cuisine can now look forward to enjoy offerings from ROMAN.TEI and RAMEN KIOU, the two F&B specialists hailing from Osaka! They are collaborating for the first time ever to launch exclusive dishes in Singapore. The collaboration between the two brands has culminated in the creation of eight new dishes and are bound to whisk you away to Osaka! Both brands are brought in by RE&S Enterprises and sit within &JOY Dining Hall from 11 May to 16 August!
About the two brands, ROMAN.TEI is a meat specialist, its offerings follow a golden ratio of rice and tender, juicy meat. RAMEN KIOU doles out bowls of delicious ramen, complete with house-made fragrant, braised chashu and tasty pork bone broth.
Mega Roasted Pork & Nankotsu Zen – $21.90
With more than 40 years experiences, ROMAN.TEI has the expertise in cooking the perfect meat, the pork is slow roasted over low heat for long hours, this process ensures that the juices are retained and tenderness achieved. RAMEN KIOU’s contribution is its nankotsu which is pork soft bone and cartilage, slow-cooked to achieve a tender, melt-in-the-mouth texture. It is then lightly seared with a blow torch to bring out the flavour. So delicious!
The mouth-watering slow-roasted pork is also pleasing to the eyes as it is skilfully presented in the shape of a flower and served in an exquisite jyu box alongside the nankotsu and Japanese rice. There are four variations available, they are as follows: Roasted Pork & Nankotsu Jyu (S$15.90), Mega Roasted Pork & Nankotsu Jyu (S$18.90), Roasted Pork & Nankotsu Zen (S$18.90) and Mega Roasted Pork & Nankotsu Zen (S$21.90). The Mega sets come with upsized meats while the Zen sets come with appetizer, salad and dashi broth to make Ochazuke.
Double Roasted Beef Tomato Cheese Ramen – $18.90
At RAMEN KIOU, featuring the brand’s unique tomato ramen now houses ROMAN.TEI’s signature roasted beef. The delicious, tangy broth is a special concoction of creamy tonkotsu soup base, tomato and other secret ingredients that takes over eight hours to prepare. ROMAN.TEI’s roasted beef is sliced to the perfect thickness with superb marbling and drizzled over the meat to elevate the flavour with a special house-made sauce boasting a good balance of sweet and tangy and a hint of pepper, the sauce pulls together the beef, noodle and broth flavours. It is cooked for long hours to achieve that thick consistency. Get ready for the cheese pull as the delectable cheese ramen bowls are further blanketed with a slice of cheddar cheese. Superb!
The four offerings are as follows: Roasted Beef Tomato Ramen (S$17.90), Roasted Beef Tomato Cheese Ramen (S$18.90), Double Roasted Beef Tomato Ramen (S$23.90) and Double Roasted Beef Tomato Cheese Ramen (S$24.90). The Double sets come with upsized meats.
All the eight dishes will be available for a limited time only from 11 May to 16 August 2021, limited portions sold per day.
