Having recently celebrated the first anniversary of its first Singapore outlet at Raffles City Shopping Centre in May, Wo Wo Dian is now doing something special for our nation’s upcoming milestone SG60 celebrations. From 1 August to 30 September 2025, Wo Wo Dian is collaborating with beloved local snack brand The Golden Duck to launch a series of three exclusive dishes that uniquely combine the authentic Sichuan flavours with Singapore-inspired twists.
Leading up to this stellar partnership was a year of innovation and localisation for Wo Wo Dian. Over the past year, the Sichuan eatery has effectively expanded its Singapore menu to cater to a wider and more inclusive audience – accommodating both local and international tastes – while staying true to its roots in authentic Sichuan flavours. Now, Wo Wo Dian’s Singapore menu offers a harmonious blend of both spicy and non-spicy dishes, a friendly invitation for everyone, young and old, to savour the rich flavours and essence of Sichuan cuisine.
Shared Values, Fusing Flavours
Sharing the same values of prioritising flavour and quality in their creations, Wo Wo Dian and The Golden Duck – though from varied backgrounds – came together because of their mutual philosophy.
Hailing from Sichuan, Mianyang in China, steamed bun specialist Wo Wo Dian has 136 years of heritage. Over a century, it has won the hearts of its customers with its unique bun-making technique that’s recognised as an intangible cultural heritage, now passed down to the fifth generation. Handmade using laomian 老面 traditional sourdough, the buns are imbued with an incredible depth of flavour and a uniquely fluffy and pillowy texture. Over 5,200,000 buns were sold last year!

SG60 Salted Egg Pork Bun ($8.90): Wo Wo Dian Century-old Traditional Pork Bun x TGD Salted Egg Sauce
Inside Wo Wo Dian’s impeccably fluffy handcrafted buns passed down to fifth generations is a delectable duo of TGD’s salted egg sauce recipe blended with aromatic curry leaves, and Wo Wo Dian’s marinated minced pork – both closely guarded, secret recipes.
SG60 Firecracker Chicken ($19.90): Wo Wo Dian Firecracker Chicken x TGD Chilli Crab Seaweed Tempura
A beloved Sichuan recipe, Firecracker Chicken or Laziji is a moreish dish of diced chicken stir-fried with a generous amount of dried chilies and Sichuan peppercorns, giving it a spicy and numbing flavour. Adding even more umami is TGD’s chilli crab seasoning, which is added to the marinade, as well as the crispy addition of TGD’s Chilli Crab Seaweed Tempura – a bestseller – to the stir-fry for a crunchy, extra-spicy kick.

Last but not least, is yet another Sichuan-Singapore creation featuring succulent and delectable chicken stir-fried in tantalising spices. This dish is elevated with the addition of TGD’s chilli crab seasoning, served with TGD’s signature Salted Egg Fish Skin to dial up the umami and crunch to maximum – a textural, comforting collaboration that tastes even better with rice.
