Exploria, an immersive new indoor multimedia attraction, is opening at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve on 3 March 2026. Spanning 10,000 square metres, it is among Southeast Asia’s largest indoor, nature-themed multimedia attractions, presenting hidden natural worlds in immersive and interactive ways.

Designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, Exploria blends science-led storytelling, responsive media and real-world footage to reveal aspects of nature and life usually beyond human reach, from prehistoric giants to microscopic ecosystems and creatures of deep darkness.

A Journey Through Earth’s Hidden Natural Systems

Visitors begin their adventure at the central hub, Our Interconnected World, where a four-metre LED globe called the Biopool sits at the core. The globe pulses like a living heartbeat, symbolising the interdependence of all life. Actions by visitors through interactive elements send visible pulses of light to the globe in real-time, emphasising the idea that small individual choices can create large collective change. The space also hosts The Planet Awakens, a signature light and sound show that synchronises projections, colours and rhythms to set the tone for the worlds ahead.

With a tap of their RFID wristbands, visitors activate interactive elements across Exploria, unlocking content and discovering the hidden secrets of each world. Photo credit: Mandai Wildlife Group

A recyclable RFID wristband enriches each visit. Guests use it to create a digital avatar, activate interactive installations, collect species badges and unlock hidden surprises throughout the attraction. A live scoreboard at the exit tracks visitor progress, and each profile stays active for a year encouraging repeat visits and friendly competition. The experience also includes Hidden Gems, subtle interactive moments hidden in the environment and Memory Hooks, unique photo stations in each world.

Exploria unfolds across five immersive worlds, each with its own theme and sensory experience:

1. Realm of the Giants

AR windows in Realm of the Giants bring static installations of prehistoric creatures to life, placing them in real-life landscapes as if they still walked the Earth. Accompanying sound effects and floor vibrations heighten the sense of scale and presence. Photo credit: Mandai Wildlife Group.

In this zone, visitors encounter the immense organisms of Earth’s past and present. Monumental installations and augmented reality (AR) “windows” animate prehistoric landscapes, placing visitors face-to-face with dinosaurs and gigantic sea creatures. The highlight is The Giants Show, an eight-minute, 360-degree standing theatre experience that takes guests through 500 million years of life’s history from the rise of giants to mass extinctions.

2. Micro Worlds

Micro Worlds lets visitors zoom in on a wonder library of hidden microscopic life, magnifying powerful ecosystems usually invisible to the naked eye. Photo credit: Mandai Wildlife Group.

This world explores life at tiny scales. Interactive glass orbs and projection domes magnify the hidden ecosystems of plankton, insect colonies, fungi and bacteria organisms crucial to life on Earth yet invisible without magnification.

3. Bitdeer AI Extreme Frontiers

Visitors are transported virtually into some of Earth’s most challenging habitats. Through simulator rooms and virtual expeditions, they witness polar bears on melting Arctic ice, Namaqua chameleons coping with desert heat, and high-altitude migrations of demoiselle cranes habitats few people ever experience firsthand.

4. Infinite Wonderland

Hanging foliage simulates the rainforest canopy at Infinite Wonderland’s Sounds of the Forest, where visitors walk amongst lush vegetation brought to life through the symphony of forest calls. Photo credit: Mandai Wildlife Group.

This world celebrates the extraordinary biodiversity of rainforests and coral reefs. Layers of sensory detail from dense foliage to vibrant reefscapes reveal wildlife that normally stays hidden in these ecosystems.

5. World of Darkness

Visitors navigate labyrinths of mysterious passageways at World of Darkness, where reactive screens hide deep-sea life adapted to total darkness. Photo credit: Mandai Wildlife Group.

In a realm without light, visitors learn how life thrives in caves and the deep sea. Remarkable adaptations come to life, including bioluminescent squid, eyeless yeti crabs and blind cave fish.

Throughout the journey, visitors may encounter Disruptive Moments narrative interludes that spotlight conservation messages and invite guests to commit to protecting nature. Taken together, the five worlds create an experiential narrative that encourages wonder at life’s diversity and reflection on humanity’s role in the natural world.
