Singapore-based professional body sugaring studio Sugar(ed) has introduced Simple Serum, the first product in its in-house skincare collection, The V Spot. Designed for use on the face, body and outer intimate areas, the serum offers a versatile approach to everyday skincare.
The V Spot’s Simple Serum is a a lightweight, fast absorbing antioxidant-rich lipid serum formula created to nourish and hydrate the skin. It can be incorporated into daily skincare routines and used after sugaring treatments to help care for the skin.

Conceptualised and developed by the Sugar(ed) team in collaboration with a specialist formulation laboratory in South Korea, Simple Serum combines the brand’s decade-long experience in intimate skincare with Korean formulation expertise. One Serum for Multiple Skincare Needs
Simple Serum was developed with intimate skincare in mind, with the intention of creating a formula gentle enough for use on the outer intimate area after sugaring while remaining versatile enough for the face and body.
Unlike some facial serums that rely on exfoliating acids, retinols or other potent active ingredients, Simple Serum focuses on nourishment and antioxidant care.
Made with over 99% naturally derived ingredients, the predominantly oil- and lipid-based formula features a blend of ingredients selected for their skincare properties.
These include:
- Rosehip Fruit Oil: Helps support skin regeneration and improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture.
- Green Tea Seed Oil: An antioxidant-rich oil with a lightweight skin feel.
- Hydrogenated Lecithin: Helps support the skin’s natural lipid barrier and moisture retention.
- Tocotrienols: A form of vitamin E with antioxidant properties.
- Calendula Flower: Traditionally used to comfort and soothe delicate or stressed skin.
- Sunflower Seed Oil: Helps support the skin barrier and moisture balance.
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: A lightweight skin-conditioning ingredient.
- Hydroxydecyl Ubiquinone: Provides additional antioxidant support for skin vitality.
The resulting serum is described as lightweight, non-sticky and quick to absorb. Its texture is intended to make it easy to incorporate into everyday skincare routines, whether at home, after a workout or while travelling.
The formula is alcohol-free and non-comedogenic. It can be used up to twice daily, and Sugar(ed) recommends a patch test before use, particularly for those with sensitive skin.
Why Intimate Skincare Matters
Intimate care has traditionally focused on hygiene and keeping the area feeling clean and fresh. However, the external intimate area is also skin and can experience dryness, sensitivity and irritation.
After more than a decade of working closely with women through Sugar(ed)’s sugaring services, founder Jasmine Yong noticed that many women had questions about caring for the skin around their intimate areas. Some were unsure which products to use, while others felt embarrassed to ask.
These conversations prompted her to consider why women often dedicate considerable attention to facial skincare while overlooking intimate skin care.
“We take such good care of the skin on our faces, why should intimate skin care be an afterthought?” she says.
For Yong, the answer is not to introduce another complicated beauty routine, but to encourage women to approach intimate skincare with the same care and consideration given to other parts of the body.
“Intimate skin doesn’t need to be fixed or disguised – it just needs to be treated gently and cared for like the rest of our skin,” she says.
This philosophy forms the foundation of The V Spot, Sugar(ed)’s intimate-care offering. The initiative aims to make intimate skincare more approachable and create a space where women can discuss their bodies and skincare needs without embarrassment or shame.
Rather than encouraging women to change, mask or over-treat a natural part of their bodies, Sugar(ed) believes intimate skincare should focus on looking after the skin and providing additional care when it feels dry or needs extra attention.
