Festive fun with designer toys: TO-FU OYAKO IN TOMORROWLAND
To inject an element of novelty and youthfulness, Bugis Junction collaborates with ActionCity, to unveil TO-FU OYAKO IN TOMORROWLAND. A photogenic 10-metre tall Christmas tree-shaped centrepiece embellished with glittering lights and metallic tones will be on display at Bugis Square from 16 November to 30 December. The centrepiece includes an asymmetrical Ferris wheel that creates a quirky and off-kilter twist to traditional Christmas decorations yet still exudes an unmistakable festive vibe.
Larger than life TO-FU OYAKO characters decked in festive outfits will welcome shoppers and spread much cheer with photo opportunities aplenty. Designed by Shinichiro Kitai, the award-winning Art Director of DEVILROBOTS and a respected pioneer of the design toy industry in Asia, the too-cute-to-resist TO-FU OYAKO is a pair of animated characters recognised all around the world.
Shoppers can further immerse in the spirit of Christmas by entering an Instagrammable iridescent space within the centrepiece that is filled with countless strings of multi-coloured baubles, making it a pictureperfect backdrop for selfies and wefies.

A bigger and better Christmas Market at Bugis Junction
Shoppers can expect to be spoilt with choices at the biggest Christmas Market at Bugis Junction that will be extended to Bugis Square (fountain area) this year.
There will be 20 food and beverage, lifestyle, accessories, toys and collectibles booths by both Bugis Junction retailers and external retailers and several one-of-a-kind carnival game booths. Shoppers will be able to soak in the festive atmosphere and take plenty of Instagram-worthy images and boomerang shots at this Christmas market decorated with magical colours and lights.
Open daily from 12noon to 9pm, the Christmas Market runs from 30 November till 30 December 2018 at Bugis Junction Hylam Street Level 1 and Bugis Junction Bugis Square Level 1.

The well-curated Craft Market at Bugis+ Atrium, Level 2 is a treasure trove of eco-friendly products, food, unique handicrafts and handmade jewellery pieces that is sure to resonate well with craft-hunting hipsters and creative souls. A selection of 10 local artisan brands are showcased every week from 3 to 16 December 2018. This includes bespoke Egyptian perfumes from Japara and twinkling lollipops from Kira Kira Kandy.
Activities such as clay magnet and cup customisation are also available for shoppers who wish to bring home customised art and wares.

Project M 2019
Amidst the joyous Christmas festivities, Bugis Junction and Bugis+ kickstart its search for a batch of new faces to take the Singapore modelling scene by storm on 8 December 2018.
In collaboration with SPH Magazines, Project M 2019 is the malls’ annual initiative to give millennial shoppers, between ages 18 to 28, a chance to take part in the Spring/Summer fashion show where they can showcase their distinct personality and showbiz talent. For those who think they can slay any photo shoot challenges and rule the runway while letting their natural confidence and personality shine, here’s the opportunity to be discovered! Those who are interested can submit their entry by filling up their details and taking a photograph at the photobooth located at Bugis Junction Bugis Square L1 from 8 to 30 December 2018. Onsite scouting will also be conducted at Bugis Junction and Bugis+ on selected weekends.
The contest culminates in a final runway show at Bugis Junction in April 2019, where a male and female winner are announced. Each winner receives a one-year modelling contract with NOW Models and an exclusive fashion spread feature in Her World and Nuyou.
