Our Parenting World has earlier announced that the highly anticipated drama series, VIKINGS S3 returns to HISTORY™ with its first-ever Vikings Village at Marina Square Central Atrium, from 26 February to 1 March, 10.00am to 10.00pm.
Our team visited the venue to find out more about the first-ever Vikings Village and to witness the largest wall mural made out of LEGO® bricks to make an entry in the Singapore Book of Records.
The stunning and beautiful wall mural which the completed masterpiece will be taken apart after the event and donated to more than five charities.
About the mural, it described a Viking longship crossing the seas. This record setting mural measured 5.4m by 2.3m and was built with over 140,000 bricks. It took four days to complete, with almost 700 helping with the assembly, earning it a place in the Singapore Book of Records for the largest wall mural made of LEGO® bricks.
A representative from the Singapore Book of Records was at the event to measure and certify that the wall mural has made it to the Book of Records!
When the official news was announced that the wall mural was indeed the largest one made out of LEGO® bricks and it has made it to the Singapore Book of Records, cheers and applause broke out from the audience. The certificate was awarded to A+E Networks Asia. It was a joyous and proud moment to witness this significant achievement. Congratulations and well done!
Visitors at the venue were welcome to write down their well wishes messages and Lunar New Year greetings to the beneficiaries at the Viking Village.
Visitors were able to view and admire the various LEGO® displays of Vikings theme creation by the participants.
Original costumes and props were flown in from the production set in Ireland and put on display at the venue. The event was a huge success and some 30,000 Singaporeans sailed back through HISTORY™ to the Viking Village of Kattegat to visit the fearsome Ragnar Lothbrok and the shield-maiden Lagertha over the four days exhibition. Visitors to the Viking Village also stood to win attractive prizes, including exclusive Vikings merchandise, LEGO® collectors’ sets, shopping vouchers, and even a trip to Denmark for the ultimate Vikings experience.

HISTORY™ buffs can look forward to an educational and interactive Vikings Village held in partnership with StarHub, providing an in-depth yet succinct historical representation about the medieval and mysterious world of the Vikings. It aims to educate the public on the mysterious world of the medieval Norsemen while giving back to society. Besides the engaging activities, visitors can also get to see the original costumes flown in from the production set in Ireland.
In addition, the public can be a part of HISTORY™ in a joint-effort to build the largest wall mural made out of LEGO® bricks in the country, which will make an entry in the Singapore Book of Records. The completed masterpiece will be taken apart and donated to various children’s charities.
