Chinatown Business Association will be launching the inaugural Five-Footway Festival from 23 to 24 March 2019 to celebrate the rich heritage of Chinatown. This event marks the official launch of the refurbished Chinatown Street Market and will be held along Pagoda, Sago, Smith and Trengganu Streets.
Visitors will have the opportunity to travel back in time to the olden streets in Chinatown where our forefathers lived and participate in traditional, old-school games like hopscotch and chapteh, enjoy cultural activities like Chinese opera, sample delicious street food such as ice-cold chendol, a hearty bowl of rickshaw noodles and browse through an assortment of old-school merchandise.
