Media Invite: FairPrice Walks with U 2017
We are always shopping for our groceries and necessities at NTUC FairPrice and this year, Our Parenting World team joins in FairPrice Walks with U 2017 held on Sunday, 21 May! FairPrice Walks with U is an annual mass walking event, organised by NTUC FairPrice. The event aims to bring multi-generational families and the community together, promote healthy and active lifestyles, and raise awareness for the less fortunate. This is its fifth edition and the number of participants have increased manifold over the years.
The flag-off for the walk took place at 8am at Marina Barrage. FairPrice Walks with U 2017 is a 4km walk from Marina Barrage, waterfront walk to Singapore Sports Hub and along the way, we will see many of Singapore’s well-known landmarks like Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, ArtScience Museum etc.
In line with the Walk n Groove theme, there will be live music and dance performances along the way and at the carnival to keep the rhythm going.
Participants are able to enjoy the beautiful view, spending time with their family and friends, bonding and walking together.
Yay! We have passed 2km, halfway to complete the walk!
Along the way, participants are given drinks, food, live performances and photo opportunities with entertainers and mascots.

It has been a fun and leisurely paced walk, before we know, we have reached 3.5Km.
Hooray, we have reached the Finish Line! We had a good walk and thank you FairPrice for the wonderful walking experiences. We look forward to participate in next year event!
That’s not all, after completing the walk, participants can take part in various carnival activities, games, prizes and other highlights! There are also many generous sponsors giving out their products and samples.
What’s more, by participating in the walk, you can do good and for every registered participant, FairPrice Foundation will donate $150 towards the FairPrice Food Voucher Scheme to help needy families!
