This October, IKEA Singapore is bringing play to life in its stores with the IKEA Play Festival, a month-long celebration featuring gaming, cosplay, family-friendly activities and new collections designed to inspire more opportunities for play at home.
As part of the festival, families and gaming enthusiasts can look forward to a series of in-store experiences, along with two new collections: YXSTABY, a gaming collection created in collaboration with Xbox, and ALPTALL, a children’s collection developed together with Swedish wildlife conservation centre Nordens Ark.
Here’s what to look forward to this October:
YXSTABY Gaming Collection (from 2 October)
The new YXSTABY collection brings gaming into the home through a nine-piece range of furniture and accessories created in collaboration with Xbox. Designed to blend gaming with everyday living, the collection includes versatile solutions for seating, storage and organising gaming essentials accessories, with details inspired by the iconic Xbox controller.
The collection will launch in all IKEA stores from 2nd October, and online from 8th October. Limited to 2 pieces per item, per customer in-store. Find out more at IKEA.sg/YXSTABY.
IKEA Gaming Festival | 3–4 October
On 3 and 4 October, IKEA Alexandra will transform into a playground for gamers and cosplayers, with 1v1 quick-match tournaments, a chance to challenge pro gamer CrazNeax, family gaming experiences and a cosplay parade with prizes up for grabs.
The festival offers opportunities for both gaming enthusiasts and families to enjoy interactive activities together, making it more than just a showcase of gaming products.
ALPTALL Wildlife Adventure (throughout October)
Families can also discover ALPTALL, IKEA’s latest children’s collection created in collaboration with Nordens Ark, a Swedish wildlife conservation organisation. Inspired by Himalayan wildlife, the collection features playful soft toys, textiles and accessories designed to bring a sense of adventure and curiosity about nature into children’s spaces.
Throughout October, families can also take part in wildlife-themed activities at IKEA stores, including the Wildlife Quest from 2 to 31 October and nature-themed colouring activities on 24 and 25 October.
