This June school holidays, thinking of where to go?

Visit Gardens by the Bay and be enchanted with the first large-scale Enid Blyton-themed event in Asia, not forgetting to visit the Flower Dome to see the new stunning Begonia Brilliance floral display.

Yay, I am so excited as I am going into The Magic Faraway Tree!

First stop, we went to Children’s Festival and that brings back a lot of fond memories especially for the adults, for those who grew up reading Enid Blyton and those who have read the books, we feel like a kid again! Kids are also excited to be able to see Moon-Face, Saucepan Man and Silky straight off from the pages of The Magic Faraway Tree, one of the beloved children’s author Enid Blyton’s most popular books, and entertaining children located at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove.

This year Children’s Festival centres on The Magic Faraway Tree and you can visit four of the magical lands from the series, they are Land of Toys, Land of Enchantments, Land of Tea Parties, and Land of Nursery Rhymes.

While you are visiting each land, find fairy folk and magic spells in the Land of Enchantments and watch toys come to life in the Land of Toys. At the Land of Nursery Rhymes, spot Little Miss Muffet eating her curds and whey. Lastly, feast your eyes on mouth-watering treats in the Land of Tea Parties!

It is a trip down the memory lane for parents as we excitedly shared with our kids about the Enid Blyton’s books that we read when we were children and The Magic Faraway Tree is actually our favourite!

Look out for the new character mascots the Magic Leaf Fairies Tilly (named after tillandsias) and Fernie (named after ferns), they will be joining storybook characters, Moon-Face, Saucepan Man and Silky at the Children’s Festival.

Be charmed by the various enchanting display and take lots of photos!

Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay is free and you can look forward to participate in a variety of free activities such as storytelling, magic shows, science demonstrations, an original production Follow the Leaves by I Theatre and more across the four magical lands. Kids can also sign up for fun-filled workshops like Magical Lemonade and Clay Magnet Making (charges apply).  Remember to collect the Magic Leaf booklet, solve puzzles in each land and collect the colour rubs of four special items to receive a prize*. This annual festival will run from 26 May to June 10.
